About Malhar Investments

Kaushal Dave, blogger and investor from Ahmedabad

Hi, I’m Kaushal Dave

I am a blogger and an investor based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I started investing in 2021, and Malhar Investments is where I share what I have learned along the way.

Today, my own money is spread across SIPs in mutual funds, stocks, fixed deposits and bonds. I am not a finance professional by training. Everything I write comes from reading, following financial news, studying official data and learning from my own experience as an investor.

Why This Blog Exists

Money decisions affect every Indian family, yet clear and honest explanations are not always easy to find. Malharinvestments.com aims to explain topics like budgeting, saving, mutual funds, government schemes, credit and retirement planning in plain language, with real rupee examples and links to official sources.

The articles are written for regular salaried Indians, first-time investors and anyone who wants to understand their money better before making decisions.

What I’ve Learned So Far

I believe in being open about mistakes, because that is where a lot of learning comes from.

  • I sold some stocks too early. Looking back, more patience would have served me better.
  • I stopped a portion of my SIPs early. In hindsight, it broke the discipline that makes SIPs work.

The habits that have helped me most are simple:

  • Learning steadily about how money and markets work
  • Following financial news from reliable sources
  • Patience, especially when markets are volatile
  • Keeping buffer money aside for falling markets, so a drop feels like an opportunity instead of a reason to panic

How I Write

  • Official sources first. I use data from the RBI, SEBI, MoSPI, NPCI, AMFI, PIB, EPFO, PFRDA and other official or reputed sources, and link to them inside each article.
  • Indian context. Examples use rupees, Indian salaries, Indian tax rules and Indian schemes.
  • Dates matter. Interest rates and rules change often, so I mention the period each figure applies to.
  • No product pushing. I don’t recommend specific stocks or mutual fund schemes.
  • Corrections welcome. If you spot an error or an outdated figure, please tell me through the Contact page and I will review it.

Important: I Am Not a SEBI-Registered Adviser

I am not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and I don’t hold any certification in finance. Content on this website is for education and information only. It is not personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

Everyone’s situation is different. Before making financial decisions, please do your own research and consider speaking with a SEBI-registered investment adviser or a qualified professional. You can read the full Disclaimer here.
